Meredith Email Campaign Process and Procedures
Online Privacy for the consumer is the utmost concern for both the consumer and Meredith, therefore, Meredith requires all email campaigns be deployed by our email deployment vendor. Meredith lists can never be sent to a client, advertiser, or outside vendor for deployment, and can never be manipulated at any time. List renters must reserve deployment dates a minimum of 5 FULL business days before deployment, but deployment dates are only guaranteed upon receipt of all final assets (listed below). Meredith strongly encourages reserving a date as far in advance as possible.
Materials and Campaign Process:
Purchase Order received from client detailing list name, pricing, blast date, selects and quantity.
Required Assets Prior to Launch – 3 items:
- Email Order Form provided to Lake Group Media
- Client signed and Meredith countersigned Email Deployment Services Agreement
- Final creative from the renter
The required assets are listed below.
- List Quantity (7.5K min.)
- List Select details.
- Desired Deployment Date - reserved as of receipt of all final assets.
- Assets Due Date (min. 5-7 business days before deployment)

- Test Deployment Recipient Addresses - recommend using across various domains
- List any special instructions (e.g., Split Creative, PIN Insertion, Endorsement, Suppression file, Image hosting)
- Seed / Test list (Maximum of 10)
* Items marked with an asterisk cannot contain mention of Meredith brands or Magazines.
Creative Spec - HTML must be <550K including images & No Cascading or Internal Style sheets may be embedded. Width needs to be kept at 600 pixels wide.
LGM sets up creative and sends tests to the seed list for client approval.
Approval of test or changes requested from advertiser must be corresponded in writing to the team after the test version has deployed. More than two minor changes will incur additional charges. Approval is needed by 3PM EST for same day delivery.
Advertisers may provide, at their discretion, a suppression file to suppress their opt-outs from the Meredith list. Receipt of suppression file after the campaign setup has begun can delay deployment up to 2 business days.
Once final creative approval has been received from advertiser, the live email blast will deploy at the scheduled time.
If the advertiser also provided a text version of the email creative, the recipient will be sent the HTML version as a first option, and will be sent the TEXT version if they are unable to receive the HTML version.
A tracking report will be sent approximately 3 Business Days after the blast date. This includes quantity delivered, opens, clicks, and opt-outs.
Billing is based upon the reported delivered quantity. Meredith does not bill for delivered quantity above what was requested by the advertiser.
Re-blasts of the original deployment can be conducted within 10 business days of your original deployment, but are subject to list availability at the time of scheduling the re-blast.
We understand that each email campaign presents its own unique requirements. In order to best serve you and your clients and avoid “hidden charges” later on during the campaign, we strongly encourage you to discuss your complete campaign requirements with your account manager prior to placing your order.
The following are some items that will incur additional charges to your campaign, to be determined based on the scope of work requested:
- Split Creatives/Subject Lines
- Image Hosting
- Text Version Creation
TCMList.delivery.net is the domain from which all email campaigns will be deployed. Domain address cannot be customized as it needs to indicate where the email is originating, which is Meredith email vendor servers.
In addition to the Advertiser supplied physical address, phone number, and opt out link, Meredith appends their own opt out language to the bottom of all emails.
