Chief Executive Officer
As the Chief Executive Officer of Lake Group Media, Ryan concentrates on new product development, corporate strategic vision and recruitment. Specifically, Ryan oversees the vision of the organization and develops the technology, relationships, and partnerships necessary to allow the company to provide incremental income to its list management clients, improved response and efficiency for acquisition clients, as well as develop and launch new products and services in the analytical, database, and interactive arenas. Ryan also plays an active role in various DMA councils. Prior to becoming CEO in 2000, Ryan held various positions within the organization in the list brokerage, interactive and list management departments. Ryan holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Notre Dame.
Chief Operating Officer
Karen Lake began her direct marketing career as an Assistant Marketing Analyst at Audrey Jones where she learned the basics of direct mail, after which Karen spent 10 years in catalog circulation at national catalogs Lillian Vernon Corporation and MicroWarehouse. While at Lillian Vernon Karen's responsibilities included overseeing circulation, both housefile and prospecting, across 8 titles and for close to 200 million catalogs a year. Karen's experience includes housefile segmentation, modeling, list acquisition, list management, budgeting, analysis, database builds, package inserts, and blow-ins. Karen holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Lake Group Media, Inc. These years of both consumer and business-to-business mailer-side experience have given Karen the background to work with LGM's top clients, helping them to achieve their marketing goals and providing them with comprehensive marketing strategies. Karen holds a Bachelor's degree from Hofstra University and a Master's degree from Iona College.
Art and Marketing Director
Lisa has over 20 years experience in the graphics and marketing field, with extensive experience as an Art Director in both publishing and direct marketing. Joining Lake Group Media in 2006, she handles all promotional needs for LGM and their clients in both print and web. Lisa holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing from Northeastern University and studied Graphic Design at Fairfield University.
Senior Vice President
Joe is a 15+ year industry veteran in the list brokerage industry. As Senior Vice President of List Brokerage, Joe is responsible for maintaining his own roster of accounts, which include Investor's Business Daily, Broadview Networks, Horizon Publishing and New York University. Joe's years of list expertise, negotiation skills, and relationships are combined with the most advanced list research and analytic tools, allowing him to effectively develop direct mail and email plans for his clients. In addition to maintaining his own accounts, Joe is responsible for the development of new products and services to help all Lake Group Media acquisition clients lower their acquisition costs and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their marketing campaigns.
Heather has over 29 years of industry experience. Her career started at ALC in 1987 through 2008 where she was an Executive Vice President until joining Lake Group Media as Managing Director. Heather specifically set out to have a diversified portfolio of clients in both not-for-profit and the commercial marketplace, which allows for effective and innovative penetration into secondary markets. Heather's main focus as a marketing partner is to bring viable and cost effective solutions to acquire/reactivate/retain new donors, buyers or subscribers from complimentary channels whether it is email, direct mail, ad placement, insert media and/or mobile texting. Heather's brokerage experience includes Heifer Project International, Doctors Without Borders, Sierra Club, Conquer Cancer Foundation, Partnership With Native Americans, Environmental Defense Fund, Nature Conservancy, Project Hope and City Harvest. Her commercial experience includes Barney's, Tommy Bahama, Neiman Marcus, Horchow, Gevalia, Harry & David, Historic Sales, Bonnier Corporation, Christianity Today, Wall Street Journal and New York Times.
Jennifer joined Lake Group Media in 2011 as Vice President in the list brokerage division. Jennifer has over 25+ years of media experience in circulation planning and data analysis. She works very closely with her multi channel clients to develop new opportunities and execute acquisition campaigns with a P&L focus. Her comprehensive expertise are in consumer direct mail, email and online marketing strategies for merchandise, catalog, financial and insurance clients. Jennifer’s brokerage experience includes Gerber Life Insurance, Gerber Products, Target, Chefs Catalog, Fingerhut, Gettington, Oriental Trading, Biotech Research, International Home Shopping, Especially Yours, The Hartford, Garden State Life, Golf Digest and more.
Carolyn joined Lake Group Media in early 2011 as Managing Director in the list brokerage division. Carolyn has over 25 years of media experience specializing in Business to Consumer and Business to Business postal strategies for her merchandise, seminar and publishing clients. In recent years, Carolyn has effectively transitioned numerous clients to multi channel processes in their prospecting and retention efforts. Over the years, Carolyn's clients have included: American Management Association, American Master Products, Disney Movie Club, Discovery Channel, Dr Leonard's Healthcare Corporation, Fresh Direct, Guideposts, Hallmark Business Expressions, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Reliable Office Supplies, Think Direct Marketing Group, Tabak's Health Products, USO, and Wine Country Gift Baskets.
Associate Vice President
Joanne has been with Lake Group Media for more than 20 years. As Associate Vice President in the Brokerage Division, Joanne works closely with some of the industry's leading publishers and non-profit organizations, strategically planning and executing their direct mail acquisition campaigns. Joanne's areas of expertise include circulation planning, response analysis, test list research and competitive market analysis. Joanne provides comprehensive mail plans, in-depth test recommendations, and marketing support to clients such as American City Business Journals, Carl Bloom Associates - PublicTV Coop, Foreign Affairs, Inc. Magazine, Kiplinger's Retirement Report, National Review, Newsday, Oblate Missions, Scientific American and The Atlantic.
Associate Vice President
For over 25 years, Kathy has successfully planned and executed acquisition campaigns for today's leading direct marketers looking to grow their business . Always balancing both the art and science of direct marketing, she is constantly working to improve response rates while lowering costs per new customer. As Associate Vice President within the List Brokerage Division, Kathy oversees the day-to-day operations of all of her accounts. Kathy's broad experience spans the spectrum in the direct marketing world -- she's been a broker, a manager and a mailer. In addition, Kathy volunteers her time on various industry committees and maintains membership in several direct marketing related organizations. Clients include AC Business Media, Dale Carnegie, Demco, Food Banks Consortium, Frank Cawood, Hedgehog Review, Krames StayWell, Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate, Missions Group, Texas Highways, Uline and White House Historical Association.

Carrie joined Lake Group Media's brokerage team in 2011 after a 20 year career at Direct Media. Her clients cross over the Consumer and BtoB fields covering Magazine and Book Publishing, Education/Information and Catalog Merchandise. She has a long history or servicing mailers in private and cooperative database environments. She is an extension of her clients' marketing departments and provides marketing support, test list research, mail planning and analysis while focusing on lowering acquisition costs for new customers. Her clients include Boardroom, Inc., Consumers Union, Crestline Company, Lorman Education Services, Patterson Medical and Reader's Digest.
Mary Ellen Quirk
Associate Vice President
Mary Ellen has over 25 years experience in the direct marketing industry. She weds knowledge of today's most responsive lists and media with comprehensive understanding of clients' goals having worked as a broker, mailer, and account executive for a direct marketing advertising agency. Mary Ellen is a marketing partner for both commercial and not-for-profit clients that include Belvoir Media Group, The Christian Science Monitor, Discover Magazine, Emmis Publishing, National Geographic Partners, National Geographic Society, TEN (The Enthusiast Network), SagaCity Media and Yankee Publishing. Attuned to the varied constraints and challenges confronting each client, Mary Ellen analytically develops multichannel solutions to meet their corporate objectives. Mary Ellen's expertise combined with her negotiation skills provides her clients with cost-effective strategies.
Chatty has over 25 years experience in the Direct Marketing Industry. She works in a variety of media including Direct Mail, Alternate Media, Space, Mobile and Digital Media. In addition to maintaining her own accounts with clients who include Guideposts Publishing, Kids Discover Magazine, Metropolitan Museum of Art Catalog and Tabak's Health Products, Chatty is a Supervisor on Carolyn Woodruff's team. Chatty's clients look for her expertise in test recommendations, mail planning and price negotiations.
Senior Vice President
Lenny began his career in 1993 at Lake Group Media, Inc. as a Sales Manager and then worked at American List Counsel as the Vice President and Director of Accounts. Lenny returned to Lake Group Media, Inc. in April of 2004 as Senior Vice President of List Management. Under the direction of Lenny, Lake Group Media Inc. has developed into an industry leader for List Management. Lenny is always contributing fresh ideas and new insight to the Lake Group Media, Inc. List Management sales approach. He brings a disciplined, results-oriented approach to the priorities and demands of List Management account management and his analytic ability and excellent interpersonal skills have garnered praise from Clients, Brokers and Mailers. Lenny's primary role in overseeing the Lake Group Media List Management Department is strategic development and revenue growth of our managed properties along with garnering all necessary resources to develop and execute unique Sales and Marketing plans for Lake Group Media's prestigious portfolio of blue chip clients. Lenny has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Iona College and is an active member of the DMA and Circulation Counsel.
Director of Client Services
As Director of Client Services, Lisa is fully aware of the fact that the quality of service rendered to direct marketers is the pivotal function upon which all future orders hinge! To this end, she is dedicated to personally guiding, training and insuring the professional development of her staff of 10+ customer service representatives, who recognize that accurate order processing and timely shipment are vital to our clients. Furthermore, Lisa's long term, personal relationship with both brokers and service bureaus enables her to successfully respond to all challenges relating to fulfillment, order clearances and special requests. Year in and year out, both clients and staff benefit from Lisa's experience and expertise.
Sheryl has 30+ years of Industry experience with her core focus on Media Sales. Her expertise covers a variety of markets with a concentration in catalog / merchandise, continuity, publishing, retail, and sweepstakes. Sheryl’s primary role is to maximize data revenue through database improvement, sales in all market categories, modeling, partnerships, and business development. In 2011, Sheryl joined Lake Group Media after a 25+ career at Direct Media (Infogroup). She is a member of NEMOA as well as an active board member of the Hudson Valley Direct Marketing Association. Sheryl was the HVDMA 2015 Founders Award Recipient.
Lenore has 16 years experience in media management sales with a strong focus in the consumer publishing and the prenatal and new family markets. She began her career in 1998 working for Mal Dunn Associates as an exchange analyst then moved into list management sales and in 2004 led the department as Director of List Management. In 2006, Lenore joined Lake Group Media's list management sales team in support of our commitment to growth. Lenore leads the sales for Bonnier Corporation, one of the largest consumer publishers in the U.S. In addition, Lenore manages the sales of the largest portfolio of prenatal/new family brands available. These clients include corporate giants such as Destination Maternity, Gerber, Mom365, Picture People and What To Expect to name a few. Managed programs in the new family space include direct mail, email, inserts, print, co-registration/lead generation, Facebook Targeting, Display Advertising and content sponsorship.
Insert Media Sales Director
Jim began his direct marketing career in 1997, representing a variety of Business-to-Business list management clients in the publishing, safety, technology, seminar, and conference industries. After many years working with both Business-to-Business and Consumer list management clients, Jim’s focus turned to Insert Media management. In July 2014, Jim joined Lake Group Media, where he continues to coordinate placement of insert advertising into packages, catalogs, newsletters, and sampling programs on behalf of his diverse roster of clients, which includes Especially Yours, Frank Cawood & Associates, Investing Daily, Mom365, Paula Young, and Sgt. Grit.
Danny began his direct marketing career over 15 years ago at Venture Direct Worldwide. He joined Lake Group Media in 2001 and has been an integral part of the List Management division. During this time Danny has developed an extensive mailer and vendor network, having worked with a wide range of business publishing, business merchandise, associations and seminar clients. Danny is responsible for all sales and marketing efforts of such key accounts as AICPA, American Bar Association, American City Business Journals, Elsevier, Inc., Harvard Business Review, and Investor's Business Daily.
Britt joined Lake Group Media in 2015 as Vice President in the List Management Division after a 20 year career at ALC. There her clients spanned nonprofit and commercial markets and included environmental and animal welfare nonprofits as well as consumer catalog, continuity, direct response and publishing. Britt specializes in the creation and execution of strategic plans that maximize revenue for her clients. She also has in-depth knowledge of modeling and has effectively leveraged this tool to generate significant incremental revenue streams. Her experience in, both, nonprofit and commercial sectors has facilitated consistent revenue growth for her clients as well as increases in new business and secondary market expansion. A previous winner of the Ron Davis Young List Professional of the Year award, Britt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Communications from Rutgers University.
Belkys began her career in direct marketing over 20 years ago after graduating from Pace University. Shortly after graduation, she joined a direct marketing firm in New York as an Account Executive. During her tenure there, she honed her marketing skills and knowledge while moving up the ranks to Vice President of List Management. Over the years, Belkys has had the opportunity to work within various sectors of our industry across the business, consumer, and international markets. Belkys joined Lake Group Media in 2003 as Sales Director. Her dedicated work ethic combined with her knowledge and experience gives her unique insight and the ability to handle the sales and marketing efforts for many of our prestigious accounts at Lake Group Media. Some of her accounts include F+W Media, Frank Cawood & Associates, Trusted Media Brands, Inc. (formerly Reader's Digest), Smithsonian Magazine,
TEN - The Enthusiast Network (which includes such titles as Automobile, Four Wheeler, Motor Trend, Slam and Stereophile) and

Mike began his direct marketing career more than 20 years ago at Medical Economics providing allied healthcare professionals, hospital personnel, nurses, physicians to healthcare marketers. From 1996 - 1999, he worked for InfoUSA/Database America, specializing in offering compiled and response files, data processing, profiling and modeling. Mike later went to work for Venture Direct Worldwide from 1999-2001, where he not only provided the above services, but also specialized in now offering printing, mailing and online/email services. As Vice President in Lake B2B, Mike offers a 'One Stop Shop' solution for the direct marketing community. Lake B2B offers licensed business data sets wtih postal, email and telephone components, as well as a host of other products and services including data management, digital marketing and consulting services. All designed to create better marketing programs and help your business excel in revenue.
Bruce's 20 years of marketing experience includes list management (Novus Marketing), data licensing (Marigold Technologies), and online directory services (MediaBrains), while his interest in cooperative platforms developed when he assembled multi-source marketing files for the use of telecom and financial services firms at CPC Associates. Since 2006, Bruce has been responsible for the database architecture and client satisfaction at DonorBase®, where his efforts fuel the campaign success for hundreds of non-profits across all service sectors. Bruce holds degrees from Indiana and Yale Universities.
Vice President, Client Services
Beginning her direct response career in the brokerage division of Lake Group Media over 10 years ago, since 2008 Allison has applied her knowledge and skills to DonorBase®. In addition to overseeing DonorBase updates, analyzing member data and fulfilling orders, Allison also serves as list manager of the NOZA Enhanced Donor Masterfile. Enthusiasm for non-profit response marketing, coupled with careful attention to her client's needs, makes Allison a key member of the DonorBase® team.
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Sherene leads the DonorBase® Sales and Marketing team to provide customized solutions for our clients. She has a passion for fundraising and has been a direct marketer for over 15 years. Focusing on cooperative database modeling for the last 8 years she drives strategy with her diverse expertise in animal welfare/environmental causes to veterans, women/children, health/disease to special needs and humanitarian relief services. She has worked with U.S. Fund for UNICEF, The Nature Conservancy, CARE, Wounded Warrior Project, Feeding America and Special Olympics. Sherene is an active member of the Direct Marketing Association of Northern California (DMANC), and DMANF as well as a DMAW board member. She has volunteered on Education Committees for The Bridge Conference and Nonprofit Conference.
Vice President, Sales
Debbie joined DonorBase® in May 2013, with a background of more than 20 years experience in non-profit marketing and fundraising. Prior to joining DonorBase, Debbie worked on both the mailer and agency side in multiple analytical roles. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, analysis, reporting, model development and list planning. As a Vice President of Sales, Debbie assists DonorBase clients in achieving comprehensive fundraising and development goals through custom analysis, strategizing and offering new avenues geared specifically for each client’s unique situation.
Senior Data Analyst
Marissa joined DonorBase as Senior Data Analyst with over 13 years of experience in direct response, data management and non-profit marketing. Her previous work has involved results analysis and reporting, strategic data evaluation and segmentation, model development, and production management. Her client relationship enthusiasm mixed with her keen attention to details, makes Marissa a key member of the DonorBase® team.
Vice President, Client Services
Bryan joined DonorBase® in September of 2016. Over the course of his career, Bryan has been responsible for managing the strategy, analysis, and production for more than 15 major nonprofit organizations. He has worked with the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, the Arthritis Foundation, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and Covenant House. At DonorBase, Bryan helps clients to meet their fundraising goals and raise more net revenue for their programs and services. He is actively involved with the DMA Nonprofit Federation (DMANF) and is currently a board member of the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA).
